There is a part of my heart that will never let go, where time stands still and the memories of the past playback like pieces of old movie clips on an endless loop. As time passes I notice that
these clips just play, sometimes without warning and often at any given time, circling through my memory and filling the spaces in my heart that will always belong to him. Sometimes the vignettes allow me to laugh out loud and sometimes they can drown me in profound sadness, but perhaps the most difficult part is knowing that there are no new memories with him to be made.
There is pain and there is beauty in everyone's life, it doesn't matter who you are or what you do, we cannot escape it. If you are lucky the beauty far exceeds the pain we all inevitably must face.

Johnny 4 years ago our world got a little bit dimmer when it was time for your light to fade out..but I am reminded everyday why you and I were meant for one another. Our 3 amazing boys have now emerged as pretty great young men and you would be so incredibly proud. As hard as it is to miss your presence, it is so easy to laugh, love, and remember your spirit.
Today we will be reminded not to take life for granted, to relish in the experiences thrust upon us, and to love and appreciate relationships that matter the most to us.
